Presentation:
1. Painful, tender nodules on the shins
2. Joint pains
3. Fever
4. Possible involvement of other skin areas and uveitis
Associated Conditions:
. Streptococcal infection
. Sarcoidosis
. Tuberculosis
. Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) (Ulcerative Colitis, Crohn’s Disease)
Investigations:
i. Full Blood Count (FBC)
ii. Anti-streptolysin-O (ASO) titre
Management:
i. Symptomatic Treatment:
ii. Bed rest and leg elevation
iii. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)
iv. Treatment of Underlying Cause:
v. Address underlying infections or inflammatory conditions
